About MX Records

What is an MX Record?

A Mail Exchange (MX) record specifies the mail server responsible for accepting email messages on behalf of a domain.

Priority

Lower priority values indicate higher preference. Mail is delivered to the server with the lowest priority number first.

Redundancy

Multiple MX records are used to provide redundancy and load balancing for email delivery.
