About the Pomodoro Technique
Origin
The Pomodoro Technique was developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s using a tomato-shaped kitchen timer ('pomodoro' in Italian) to track 25-minute work intervals.
Why It Works
Short focused sessions with scheduled breaks prevent mental fatigue, improve concentration, and make large tasks manageable by breaking them into timed intervals.
Customization Tips
Adjust focus duration (15–50 min) and break lengths to match your rhythm. Many find 25/5 ideal for coding, while 50/10 suits deep reading or writing.
